At-Home Storage

Refrigerate or freeze veal as soon after purchasing as possible.

If veal is wrapped in uncoated butcher paper, unwrap and repackage in
heavy-duty aluminum foil, freezer paper or plastic freezer bags.

Veal wrapped in transparent film can be refrigerated (or frozen up to 2 weeks)
without re-wrapping. For longer freezer storage, prevent freezer burn by
repackaging veal in heavy-duty aluminum foil, freezer paper or plastic freezer
bags, removing as much air as possible.

Vacuum-packaged veal does not require repackaging for refrigerator or freezer
storage.

If refrigerated, place in meat compartment or coldest part of refrigerator.

Label and date frozen veal packages, including weight and/or number of
servings. Practice FIFO -- first in, first out.
